Boeing on the hook for $1 billion a month because of strike, as S&P frets anew

Ratings agency S&P Global Ratings late Tuesday put a price tag on Boeing Co.’s ongoing machinists strike, estimating that it is costing more than $1 billion a month even after furloughs and other cost-saving moves that the aerospace and defense company has put in place.

S&P put Boeing’s

BA credit rating on review for a possible downgrade, on concerns about the strike entering its fourth week with no end in sight.
