Xiaomi 18 might actually arrive this year, 3C reveals the charging capabilities

The Xiaomi 18 Pro series was announced in China in September, and the company confirmed that the duo is going global by the end of this year. In fact, we expect the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max to hit the global market as early as this month. However, the conversation left out the vanilla Xiaomi 18 entirely, stirring speculation that we won’t be getting a Xiaomi 17 successor this year.

Xiaomi 18 might actually arrive this year, 3C reveals the charging capabilities

A 3C listing suggests otherwise, and it appears to be in line with earlier rumors that the Xiaomi 18 will arrive at a later date, probably sometime in December. That timeframe likely refers to the Chinese release. The certification lists a Xiaomi smartphone, which is believed to be the vanilla Xiaomi 18 with 100W fast wired charging. This means no change in the charging power compared to last year’s model.

Earlier reports point to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, not the Extreme version, a 200MP main camera and a 7,200 mAh battery. The screen size remains a mystery, though, and it might not be the same as the previous generation since the Xiaomi 18 Pro is the one with the compact dimensions this time around, with a 6.4-inch display. But since the vanilla 18 is tipped to have a 200 mAh larger battery than the 18 Pro, it’s probably safe to assume that it will slot in between the Pro and the Pro Max in terms of size.
