On Friday night (October 4), R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe and Jason Isbell played a Pittsburgh rally in support of Democrats Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. After being introduced by the vice president’s husband, Doug Emhoff, they played R.E.M.’s “The One I Love” and “Driver 8” and Isbell’s “Traveling Alone” and “Hope the High Road.” Watch footage of the performance below.
Earlier this year, in August, Isbell performed at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
