2025 MLB All-Star Game Logo Revealed; Hosted by Atlanta Braves – SportsLogos.Net News

Atlanta… You’re on the clock.

Four years after they lost the game with just months to go, the Atlanta Braves are back and ready to host. Major League Baseball, along with the team, today unveiled the logo for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, to be played at Truist Field on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

“Major League Baseball looks forward to bringing the All-Star Game to Atlanta for a third time in 2025,” said Commissioner of Baseball Robert D. Manfred, Jr in the press release. “The annual unveiling of the logo for the Midsummer Classic signals the start of a year-long celebration, culminating with an exciting All-Star Week at Truist Park, The Battery Atlanta and throughout Atlanta’s communities. We are delighted to work together with the Braves to provide a memorable experience for our fans.”

The logo features a large navy blue star with yellow shading and the architecture of the front entrance gate from The Battery to Truist Park across it. Front-and-centre, we have “All-Star Game” scripted in white with red trim and a blue drop shadow. The wordmark is similar in style to the familiar typeface used by the Atlanta Braves on their logo, cap, and jersey. Finally, we have the MLB logo up top, the host city and year in the bottom right, and the MasterCard logo to the lower left.

“The Battery Atlanta is a premier sports and entertainment destination, home to Truist Park and the Braves,” explained MLB Senior Creative Director Jason Yeadon in an email to SportsLogos.Net. “We wanted to showcase this destination and design a logo that would fit seamlessly into this area. In the primary logo, you will notice architectural elements from the ballpark, like the truss and overhang from the main gate. We took inspiration from the building, signage elements, and the gateway fans will enter the ballpark.”

Naturally, the inspiration behind the design went beyond references to the area around the ballpark; there are also a few nods in there to the Braves and their identity.

“We created a custom typography inspired by the Braves’ script, paying homage to their iconic brand, focusing on red, white, blue, and gold … we knew from the start that we wanted to celebrate this within the mark. When a fan looks at this logo, I hope they feel that it’s unequivocally Braves.”

As always, the primary mark is accompanied by a series of secondary logos, which are simplified wordmark-heavy versions of the main logo, as well as background patterns and theme art. These allow vendors, media, and anyone associated with the visual aspect of the game to use a design that works best for their respective applications.

“When designing the logo, we start with the primary mark but always think about the entire package. The primary logo cannot say everything, so we create patterns, backgrounds, and additional elements that will help support and develop the narrative even further,” Yeadon elaborated. “We think about how the design can flex from being highly stylized to quiet and tonal. The additional style guide elements support the primary logo, and then we develop wordmarks for compositions that might need less.”

This is the fourth time the Atlanta Braves have been named host of the All-Star Game and the third time the game will be played in the city. The Braves previously hosted the MLB All-Star Game in 1972 and 2000; as mentioned earlier, the 2021 All-Star Game was originally awarded to Atlanta, and a logo was revealed for the game before it was moved to Denver mere months before the game in response to the State of Georgia passing the Election Integrity Act of 2021.

With the unveiling of a new All-Star Game logo, it’s time to look back at MLB All-Star Game logo history, here we’re going all the way back to 1978 in San Diego.

Weird things I notice:

The 1979 logo was so popular it ended up becoming the logo of the Seattle Mariners two years later.

The MLB logo first appeared in an All-Star Game logo in 1981 and has been present in every subsequent logo.

The 1982 All-Star Game is the only bi-lingual MLB All-Star Game logo, appearing in French and English as it was played in the bi-lingual city of Montreal.

For many years, the “All-Star Game” wordmark alternated between a hyphen, bullet, or the MLB logo itself between the words “All” and “Star” before a star was used in 1989. A star has been used in that place for every single MLB All*Star Game logo since 1992.

In 2016, the MasterCard logo first appeared within the logo. Following seven subsequent games in which their logo was just added below the main logo, it’s been integrated again somewhat for 2025.
