Google Pixel 9 Pro cases and official promo videos leak

It’s a new day, so it’s time for some new Pixel leaks. Google may have been trying to prevent comprehensive leaks of its upcoming devices by holding its annual launch event two months early in August, but that clearly hasn’t worked at all.

Following yesterday’s barrage of Pixel leaks, today we have a ton of newly leaked promo materials, leaked promo videos, and leaked official cases. So let’s dive in.

The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL‘s official cases have been leaked. The former device will get silicon cases in Charcoal, Porcelain, Hazel, Rose, and Aloe. That last one is strange because the Pixel 9 Pro itself isn’t expected to be offered in Aloe.

Moving on to the XL model, this one’s cases will come in the same colors as the Pixel 9 Pro, minus the Aloe variant.

Next up, a promo video for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL has been outed, and posted on YouTube where it was unfortunately removed from in the meantime “for violating YouTube’s Terms of Service”.
The video focused on the fact that the Pixel Pro is now, for the first time, going to be offered in two sizes. It also confirms Google’s ongoing software update commitment – the company promises seven years of Pixel Feature Drops.

There’s a quick look at Pixel Screenshots too, which will let you easily search through any screenshot you previously saved. Of course Google also brags about the ‘Pro-level’ cameras on the two Pro models, complete with Super Res Zoom Video, and a new AI Add Me feature which lets you take two group shots and then merge them by the magic of AI.

This ensures everyone is in the resulting image, and the person taking the photo doesn’t get left out. Google’s Gemini also gets a lot of screen time, as you’d expect in 2024 with AI being the main buzzword in the tech world.

Finally, we have another leaked video, this time one that focuses on the ‘vanilla’ Pixel 9. At the time of publishing this hasn’t been removed by YouTube yet, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually meets the same fate as the other one.

This one replaces Add Me with Magic Editor which uses AI to “reimagine” your shots, and also boasts about how the phone has a “durable design”, whatever that means. Otherwise it is pretty similar, as it’s meant to be since it’s going to be part of the same ad campaign.
