Kelela to Release New In the Blue Light Live Album


Kelela is releasing a new live album that she and her band recorded last year at New York’s Blue Note. The album, In the Blue Light, is out February 11 via Warp. Listen to “Better (Unplugged)” below.

In the Blue Light captures live renditions of songs from Cut 4 Me, Hallucinogen, Take Me Apart, and Raven. It also includes a covers of Joni Mitchell’s “Furry Sings the Blues.”

Kelela has been going to the Blue Note since she was a teenager, discussing her love for the in interviews with Pitchfork and GQ.
