Samsung Galaxy A36 will have 45W charging too

Until now, no Samsung Galaxy A series device has supported 45W wired charging. The best any of them could do was 25W. That is set to change later this year when the Galaxy A56 will launch with support for 45W top-ups – this has already been revealed back in November.

Today we have some exciting news for those who were looking forward to the upcoming Galaxy A36 instead – this too will support 45W wired charging. This has been revealed through its IECEE certification today, which it’s received alongside the Galaxy A56.

Both devices will launch running Android 15 with One UI 7 on top, which means they won’t be coming before February at the earliest (since the Galaxy S25 handsets will be the first ones to land with the newest software).

The Galaxy A56 will use Samsung’s Exynos 1580 SoC, while the A36 will go with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 instead.
