vivo unveils X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro mini, Week 42 in review

vivo unveiled the much-anticipated X200 series for China this week. It features three phones with large batteries, LYT-818 50MP main camera, and the new Dimensity 9400 chipsets. The X200 Pro has the best zoom camera – the 200MP sensor from the vivo X100 Ultra. The X200 Pro mini has a slightly watered-down 50MP periscope.

The vivo X200 Pro went on sale yesterday, October 19, starting from CNY 5,299 ($748/€685/₹62,900). The X200 Pro mini will ship on October 25, starting from CNY 4,699 ($663/€610/₹55,800). The X200 went on sale yesterday, starting from CNY 4,300 ($605/€555/₹51,000).

Did vivo just make the compact flagship everyone wanted? We think so.

The pair of Pros will even give the X100 Ultra’s cameras a run for their money.

It uses the same LYT-818 main camera as its Pro siblings and upgrades the battery capacity to 5,800mAh while also slimming down compared to the X100.

Apple refreshed the iPad mini with the A17 Pro chip, double the base storage, and Wi-Fi 6E.

It retains the $499 base price and will go on open sale from October 23.

The budget smartphone with six years of software support has landed at our office for review.

Meet the Xperia 1 VI in Scarlet Red.

The new update is following a phased release, meaning some regions will get it ahead of others.

Finally, we saw the upcoming OnePlus 13 in leaked renders, and Google released the Android 15 to the Pixel phones, all the way to the Pixel 6 lineup.

An affordable smartwatch with a surprisingly low number of compromises.

Leaked images are upon us.

Some users report that they have already received the update, however, the mass rollout is scheduled for later this week.
