Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 7-29-24: Nicole And Eric Leave Salem

According to Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-29-24, it’s time to say goodbye to Eric and Nicole.

The two decided to leave Salem after EJ threatened to tell Holly the truth about Daniel’s death. They’re taking baby Jude with them, but not Holly.

Sorry, Ericole fans. This exit will be far more bittersweet than you hoped, even if the ship does get a happy-for-now ending.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 7-29-24 Suggest A Rushed Ending For Eric And Nicole

It’s a shame the behind-the-scenes problems couldn’t be resolved in a better way.

In a matter of weeks, Nicole learned her baby wasn’t dead, Gabi revealed the further truth about who Jude’s father was, Nicole filed for divorce, EJ became vindictive, and Nicole and Eric decided to leave town.

Maggie even conveniently came around the corner just in time to offer to let Holly live with her so that Eric and Nicole could take the baby to Paris without having to uproot the fiery teen.

This is yet another disappointing character exit. It’s a step above gratuitously killing off characters and resurrecting them later, but that’s not saying much.

Ericole fans don’t get to enjoy their happily ever after, and to make matters worse, Nicole and Eric end up looking like cowards.

Running away to Paris doesn’t solve anything. If EJ really wanted to, he could fire up the Dimera Jet and stalk them internationally, but since they’re leaving the show, he won’t.

This exit should never have happened, especially not for the reasons Zucker alleges in her lawsuit. It cuts off the story of Eric and Nicole dealing with EJ’s wrath before it gets started and rushes them off-screen.

Since Holly’s staying in Salem, what stops EJ from letting the truth about Daniel’s death slip anyway? What Nicole and Eric SHOULD do is stay where they are and tell Holly the truth before EJ can make her learn it in a far crueler manner.

Tate And Holly Consider Their Next Move Carefully

They May Be Freer Now That Holly Is Living With Maggie

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-29-24 suggest that Holly and Tate regroup because their plans are foiled — but with Nicole leaving town and Theresa in hot water over her recent crimes, they may have more freedom than before.

Brady is the only one of their parents who could still pose a problem, and he’s busy getting drunk all the time. That leaves EJ, but with Nicole gone, dos he really care if her daughter dates someone Nicole disapproved of?

Tate and Holly could also bond over both of their mothers’ plights, bringing them closer together, assuming they can pull this subterfuge off.

Eric And Nicole Say Their Goodbyes

The Pair Leaves Salem Together, Giving Them A Happy Ending… For Now

Eric and Nicole’s storyline has gone in circles for so long that a break might be a good thing.

The way Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-29-24 describe their ending suggests it won’t do the couple justice, but still.

Leaving for Europe or Africa is a tired Days of Our Lives trope, but at least the couple is going together this time.

Ericole fans had to endure Eric being in Africa without Nicole for over a year, so their proposed trip might offer those fans who love them some comfort even if their reunion won’t play out on screen.

The New Interim Commissioner Thinks Her Ex Tried To Kill Rafe

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-29 say that Paulina will give Jada a promotion, which means Jada is the new interim commissioner.

Jada will use that position to grill Bobby about what happened to Rafe.

The tables have turned. Now she has the upper hand and he’d better spill if he doesn’t want to end up in jail.

This will likely also cause Connie to panic. Hopefully, she won’t attack anyone else. We don’t need any more serial killer storylines.

Kate And Abe Are Surprised During A Casting Call

A Familiar Face Auditions For Body And Soul

Abe and Kate’s meta storyline will continue, with the pair hosting auditions to recast characters on Body and Soul now that they own the rights to the defunct fictional soap opera.

Someone familiar will join the auditions, but it’s anyone’s guess who that’ll be.

Abe first realized that Nurse Whitley was lying to him when an actor pretending to be his son popped up on the soap-within-a-soap, so could that actor again try to get on the show?

Worse yet, could Nurse Whitley herself return in the hopes she will be able to reclaim her fictional world? That’s all Abe needs now!

Chanel And Johnny Again Contemplate Their Future

What’s Next For Them Now That They Are Staying In Salem?

Johnny and Chanel have been discussing their next move ever since the miscarriage. It seem as if talking about it is a spoiler every other week.

Abe and Kate will need directors and producers, so the perfect job might have opened up for Johnny.

The couple probably also wants to think about whether they want to try again to have a baby, and how soon. Plus, they need to decide how to handle the mess that EJ has made out of everything, especially if Paulina fires him again.

Could Gwen Be On Her Way Home?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 7-29-24 Suggest Theresa’s Story Will Wrap Soon

After shocking news derailed Theresa’s wedding, it didn’t seem like there was anything left for her in Salem.

The Friday cliffhanger suggested Theresa wants to turn herself in to the cops, but whether she does is an open question.

Still, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-29-24 say that Leo will contact an old friend, so it’s possible that Emily O’Brien will shift roles again.

With Theresa’s story at an end, this makes sense, assuming O’Brien is staying, though Gwen was never the most likable character and doesn’t need to return.

Ava’s Secret Needs To Come Out Soon

Brady Falls Off The Wagon Again

This Tired Storyline Is The Least Exciting Days of Our Lives Spoiler For The Week of 7-29-24

Ugh, Brady. Why?

Related: How Technology Changed TV Tropes Forever

Every other year or so, he goes on a drinking binge. It’s not entertaining, especially when there’s no good reason for it.

Supposedly, he was drinking because he couldn’t have Theresa, but now it seems he’s fallen into another destructive relationship. So far, Brady and Fiona’s drunken hookups are a rerun of JJ and Eve’s affair, except both people are full adults who should know better.
